Here’s some bad news for all Lenovo K5 Note owners who were waiting for Android Nougat update in their smartphones. The smartphone will not get any Nougat update in future. This confirmation comes straight from Lenovo’s official twitter handle.
While replying to a user Jasvinder Singh @Jas138Jas on twitter, Lenovo @lenovo has revealed that Lenovo K5 Note will not get an Android Nougat update. The tweet reads “@Jas138Jas Hi! There will be no Android Nougat update for the Lenovo K5 Note and it will remain in Android 6. 1/2”. You can see the screenshot of their conversation below.
The Lenovo K5 Note was launched in India last year in 2 GB and 3 GB RAM models. Later the company also launched an upgraded 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant of K5 Note smartphone in India.
Coming to the specification part, the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on Vibe UI and has a 3,500 mAh non-removable battery with Fast charging support.
The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while on the front there is an 8-megapixel shooter. For connectivity option, the device supports 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, Dual-Band WiFi, micro USB, and dual-SIM.
