German camera and lens equipment manufacturer Leica has struck a deal with Amazon India that sees the former firm launch three new cutting-edge cameras for the Indian audience. The three cameras namely from the Sofort, D-Lux and V-Lux range will be sold exclusively through Amazon in addition to several other camera accessories and binoculars.
Starting with the most affordable variant is the Leica Sofort which is a Polaroid camera that packs in various modes like Automatic, Self-timer, Party, Macro and bulb for capturing real-life moments the right way. The camera packs in a cartridge of 10 films and is built on a square-shaped box which distinguishes itself from the rest of the products from Leica. The Leica Sofort will be selling in India for a price of Rs 25,000.
For an asking price of Rs 85,000 stands the Leica D-Lux which houses a 12.8-megapixel camera inside a metallic casing that displays a fixed LCD screen on the back. The 4/3-inch DC-Vario Summilix Lens boasts of an Aperture range of f/1.7 to f/2.8.
Leica’s most expensive camera to be sold on Amazon India will probably be the V-Lux that flaunts an Optical Zoom capacity of 16x optical zoom, equivalent to the likes of using a 25-400mm telephoto lens. With the help of a 1-inch sensor, the camera is capable of shooting up to 4K videos. When used for telephoto purposes, the Leica V-Lux will be able to shoot at an f/4 wide aperture to a range of f/2.8. Leica packs in a 3-inch LCD which can be moved to different angles for seamless photography on the move. The Leica V-Lux will be available in India for Rs 90,000 starting this week.
