LeEco Le2, Micromax Amaze 2 and other devices launched this week

LeEco Le 2 and Le 2 Max were the biggest announcements of this week which saw launch of several budget devices.

After two eventful weeks, we were expecting a quite week. And this passing week was certainly one. However, it wasn’t totally a dull week thanks to LeEco. The Chinese handset maker made headlines due to its Le 2 and Le 2 Max smartphones. Other than that it was certainly a quiet week which saw few budget smartphones getting launched in the Indian market.

Here is a recap of the devices which were launched this week.

LeEco Le 2, Le 2 Max

These are undoubtedly the biggest announcements of this week. The Le Max 2comes in 4 and 6 GB RAM models which are priced at Rs 22,999 and Rs 29,999 respectively. The Le 2has a price tag of just Rs 11,999. LeEco announced that the Le Max 2 will be available on Flipkart and Lemall from June 29 but it will reveal Le 2’s availability to later.

Neither Le 2 nor Le Max 2 has 3.5 mm jack. Perhaps, these are the first smartphones to come without one. Instead, LeEco has tweaked the USB Type C port to be used as an audio port. For that LeEco is offering CSLA worth Rs 1,990 with the phones.

The LeEco Le 2 smartphone has a 5.5-inch InCell Full (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is powered by the 64 bit Snapdragon 652 octa core processor, which is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartphone has a 3000 battery.

The Le 2 offers a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. In its front there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Further, the smartphone offers slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi, 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, USB port and a fingerprint sensor on the back. Note that it has no 3.5 mm jack, instead the USB port can be used for audio output.

The Le Max 2’s 5.7-inch touchscreen has Quad HD resolution. It is powered by the 2.15 GHz Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and 6GB RAM. It has 64GB internal storage. The smartphone too runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and has a 3,100 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

There is a 21-megapixel shooter in the back panel of Le Max 2 along with a dual-tone LED flash light. For selfies, it comes with an 8-megapixel front camera. Further, the smartphone offers Dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The Le Max 2 comes in Rose Gold and Grey colour options.

Intex Cloud Glory 4G

It has a price tag of Rs 3,999 and is available exclusively through Flipkart in black and white colours. The Intex Cloud Glory 4G features a 4.5 inch FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) display with of 217.7. It is armed with 1GHz ARM Cortex-A53 (MT6735M) quad-core processor, which is paired with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and expandable up-to 32GB via a micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

The Cloud Glory 4G get its strength from an 1800 mAh removable battery, which claims to offer 7 hours of talktime and 270 hours of on 2G network. The smartphone has a 5-megapixel rear camera with Dual LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. The camera offers Panorama Mode, Face Beauty Mode, CHT844B-MD-ZL lens, 1.12um pixel size, F2.8 aperture, GC5005 sensor, Auto Focus, and Gesture Capture features.

Besides, the Cloud Glory 4G offers Dual SIM, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, a port, G-Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor, Gesture Control, and Emergency Rescue. The handset measures 68×134.2×9 mm and weighs around 120 grams.

Lava X46

The Lava X46 features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display thus offering pixel density of 294 ppi. It is armed with a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 32GB micro SD card slot. The Lava X46 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. The phone also comes with Power Saver Mode. The battery claims to offer 11 hours 33 minutes of talk-time and 6 days 8 hours 29 minutes of standby time.

The Lava X46 sports an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel wide angle selfie camera on the front. Both the camera modules come with an LED flash light. The camera features include Child Mode, as Flash, Wide Angle Selife, Audio Picture, Smile Shot, V Gesture, Full HD (1080p) Video Playback, and Digital Zoom. Further, the smartphone offers Dual SIM (4G + 4G), 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth 4.0, a micro USB port.

Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Hall Sensor , Flip to Mute, 12 Indian languages Support, Smart Gestures, 5 Point Touch, Time Lapse Video, and notably Slow Motion Video mode. The handset measures 143*71.5*8.5mm.

It is available for Rs 7,999.

Lava X81

Priced at Rs 11,499, the Lava X81 comes with a 5 inch IPS display with high definition and 3. This dual SIM phone has dual standby feature and it comes in space grey and gold colours.

The Lava X81 has the Android Marshmallow operating system and a customized user interface called Star OS 3.0. The OS runs on the 64 bit 1.3 GHz Mediatek quad core processor. It has 3 GB DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of and a 64 GB micro SD card slot.

There is a 13 rear camera in the X81 that comes with F2.0 and dual LED flash light. The secondary 5 megapixel camera has F2.4 aperture and an LCD flash light is in the front too to assist it.

The Lava X81, which measures 142.6*73.4*8.4mm, has a 2700 mAh Li-Po battery. The Lava X81 has 4G connectivity, WiFi, micro USB port, GPS with and AGPS, 3.5 mm audio jack, and OTG support. It has FM radio as well.

Panasonic T44, T30

Panasonic launched T44 and T30 smartphones this week at Rs 4,290 and Rs 3,290 respectively. Panasonic T44 comes in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, Electric Blue color variants and Panasonic T30 is available in Metallic Gold, Metallic Silver, Steel Grey colors. Both phones come with a free protective screen guard worth Rs 299.

Panasonic T44 and T30 both feature 4 inch WVGA display and are powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. While Panasonic T44 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow while Panasonic T30 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The Panasonic T44 has 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up-to 32GB through a micro SD card. The Panasonic T30 has 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up-to 32GB through a micro SD card.

Both the smartphones offer 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and 2-megapixel front camera. The Panasonic T44 has a 2400 mAh battery while the Panasonic T30 is backed up by 1400 mAh battery. Both the phones offers Dual SIM, 2G/3G, WiFi 802.11 bgn, Bluetooth 4.0, a MicroUSB 2.0 Port, GPS/A-GPS, Accelerometer, Proximity and Light sensors. Panasonic T44 dimensions are 127.3 x 66 x 9.65 mm while Panasonic T30 dimensions are 126 x 64 x 10.3 mm.

Envent Livefree Bluetooth Speakers

Envent Worldwide, an Indian electronics accessory brand, launched two Bluetooth speakers – LiveFree 570 and LiveFree 530, this week. The speakers are available exclusively on Flipkart and are available on special launch prices of Rs 3,999 and Rs 2,499 respectively.

Envent’s LiveFree 570 is a 12W high Bass Bluetooth speaker with Bluetooth 4.0 version. It comes with 4000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery which promises up to 9 hours play time. The speaker is IPX4 water resistant which can even withstand the water splashes. Ziox Zi5003

Lesser known mobile phone maker, Ziox Mobiles launched a smartphone called Zi5003 at Rs 4,990 earlier this week. As per the company, it is available in Slate Black, Rose Gold and Rich Blue colours along with a 12 month warranty from leading retail stores.

The Dual SIM smartphone has a 1.3 GHz quad core processor and a 5 inch FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display. The phone has 512 RAM, 4 GB internal storage, expandable storage slot for up to 32 GB micro SD card, and running on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.

The Zi5003 comes loaded with 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. It has a 2000 mAh battery.

The Zi5003 comes installed with pre-loaded features including Gesture Control and Smart Wake. Weave magic with smart gestures that allows one to access apps while the phone is still locked by just drawing the pre-defined designs assigned to your most accessed apps. It has 21 Indian language support as well.

Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, free navigation with and USB along with the media functions which incorporates FM Radio, Player and multi-file format support for videos.

Micromax Canvas Amaze 2

Canvas Amaze 2 was made available by Micromax earlier this week and it is exclusively available on Flipkart through open sale model at Rs 7,499.

The Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 is packed with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa core processor, a 5-inch HD IPS display, 2500 mAh battery, 2GB DDR3 RAM, and a 13 megapixel rear camera.

Besides, the Canvas Amaze 2 has Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system, 4G connectivity, a 5 megapixel front camera, 16 GB internal memory, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The Amaze 2’s display comes with the Gorilla Glass 3 and this IPS screen promises 178 degree viewing angle. As per Micromax, the screen is made with WOB technology that allows users to continue using their Amaze 2, in case of a broken screen.

Termed as SuperSpeed USB by Sony, the device is a USB 3.1 Gen 1 standard and encompasses a read speed of up to 130MB/s for fast data transfer. Additionally, the easy portable drive comes with a slim and compact body, as well as a metal exterior making it a comfortable and unique option.
