Lava X3 launched in India, Tecno Phantom X2 5G to launch next month

Tecno Phantom X2 5G is all set to arrive in India next month while Lava has launched its X3 smartphone.

Tecno is all set to launch a new smartphone in India which it unveiled globally a while back, and that’s the Tecno Phantom X2 5G. Apart from that, Lava has launched a new budget offering in the country, called the Lava X3. The renders and the specifications of the Lava device surfaced a while back, which said it would be coming with Helio and that seems to be true.

The Lava X3 has a price tag of Rs 6,999 and is offered in Arctic Blue, Charcoal Black and Luster Blue colours. Those who pre-order the device on December 20th will be eligible to receive Lava ProBuds N11 neckband worth Rs 2,999 for free.

Lava X3 sports a 6.5-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution. There is be a waterdrop notch on the top and a thick chin at the bottom of the display. The smartphone has a pill-shaped camera module and a fingerprint scanner at the back for security. The device includes an 8MP dual rear camera setup and a 5MP selfie snapper. 

The Lava X3 isnpowered by a MediaTek Helio A22 processor clocked at 2GHz. It packs 3GB and 32GB onboard storage which is further expandable. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh battery unit with standard 10W charging.

It is set to ship with 12 Go Edition OS out of the box. The smartphone has a USB-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack, apart from VoLTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, and as connectivity options.

Tecno Phantom X2 5G India launch

An Amazon micro website has gone live, suggesting that the Tecno Phantom X2 5G will be available exclusively via the e-commerce website. It also reveals that the Phantom X2 5G’s pre-booking will begin on the retailer site on January 2. Its first sales are slated to begin on January 9.

The listing mentions an offer where a limited number of customers who pre-book the Phantom X2 can upgrade to the next-generation Tecno Phantom X3 for free. However, there is no word on the Phantom X2 Pro 5G’s India launch, which means it may not be arriving in the country at the moment.

Tecno Phantom X2 5G Specifications

The Tecno Phantom X2 5G features a 6.8-inch curved with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a 10-bit panel that can cover 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and is protected by Victus.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which is paired with a vapour chamber cooling system, up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM, and 256GB of 3.1 storage. On the software front, they run on HiOS 12.0 based on Android 12.

The Phantom X2 has a 64MP Samsung GWB primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultrawide camera with support for macro vision, and a 2MP depth sensor.

It features a 32MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 5,160mAh battery and carries support for 45W fast wired charging. The smartphone offers multiple connectivity options, such as dual SIM, 5G, WiFi, 5.3, GNSS, NFC, and USB 2.0 (Type-C). For security, they come with an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
