Lava today announced the launch of Iris X1 Grand for Rs 7,326 and Iris X1 Mini for Rs 4,348 – both will be available via online as well as offline stores from the first week of February. Both the smartphones come with a flip cover that, according to the company, allows users to access the phone’s functions without the need of switching to the main screen. They have Smart Wake-up and Gesture controls which is now a days quite common even to budget smartphones.
The Lava Iris X1 Grand features a 5 inch IPS screen which has 854 X 480 pixels resolution. The phone offers a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad core processor, It is based on Android KitKat operating system but is upgradable to Android 5.0, Lollipop version; though the company has not announced any specific date for the same.
The Lava Iris X1 Grand featuers an 8 megapixel auto focus BSI sensor rear camera with dual led flash light and 2 MP front-facing camera for video calling. On connectivity front the phone supports micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), ensuring full time connectivity for people on the move. The phone has dedicated 1GB RAM & 8GB of inbuilt memory that is expandable up to 32GB. It has a 2200 mAh high capacity Li-Polymer battery.
Lava Iris X1 Mini
It has a 4 inch IPS display with 800×480 pixels resolution, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 5 MP rear camera with PureCelTM Sensor and LED Flash, 1750 mAh high capacity battery, and Android KitKat operating system.
The X1 Mini has a VGA front camera, 4GB ROM (Expandable to 32 GB), and 512 MB RAM. It is powered by a 1750 mAh battery.
Lava Iris X1 mini will be available in three colors: ink black, while-silver and white-gold.
