Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd and Uber, a ridesharing app, has today announced a strategic partnership, which will enable Uber riders to pay for their rides using JioMoney, the PPI wallet and likewise JioMoney users will soon be able to request and pay for Uber rides from within the JioMoney app.
“The partnership will give a major boost to cash-free payments in India and provide mobility options to millions of Jio users”, company said in the press note.
Starting from today, Uber will rollout the JioMoney payment option for its users across the country in a phased manner. This partnership will help in enabling a hassle-free payment experience to Uber riders and will be the extension to digital transactions for JioMoney users across India.
JioMoney and Uber will also offer exclusive incentives to every user paying for Uber rides through JioMoney. Moreover, JioMoney’s users will get attractive offers and coupons available through JioMoney app.
