itel Mobile has announced a trio of budget smartphones in India – itel A45, itel A22 and itel A22 Pro; offering features like dual rear cameras, Android Go and Snapdragon processors on entry-level price range. The new range of itel smartphones come at a starting price of Rs 5,499.
Starting off with the first product, the itel A45 is the newest of bunch and packs in a dual rear camera and HD+ full screen for a price of Rs 5,999. Measuring at a thickness of 8.6mm, the A45 comes powered by a 64-bit 1.3 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6739WA Processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The display on the front is a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS full screen with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) with premium features like multi-functional fingerprint sensor technology, a smart key for bike mode and OTG support, all of which run on a 2,700mAh battery. There’s a dual camera setup that combines a .5MP AF lens with a VGA camera and on the front, there’s a 5MP lens for selfies.
Similar to the A45, the itel A22 also runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) but is powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB RAM + 8GB storage configuration. There’s a 5-inch 480 x 854 pixels display with a 2MP camera on the front while the back of the phone features a standard 5MP camera. The device is backed by a 2,400mAh battery that itel says will last you up to 9 days on standby. Packing in two micro SIM slots along with a 3.5mm earphone jack, the itel A22 comes at a retail price of Rs 5,499.
The more well-equipped sibling of the A22 is the A22 Pro which comes with the same Snapdragon 210 processor but packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device can thus run on a regular version of Android 8.1 Oreo with a 2,400mAh battery that can last to up to 9 days on standby. There are two SIM slots with a memory slot that can be expanded up to 32GB. Camera options include a 5 MP AF rear camera and 2MP front camera. The A22 Pro will be available for an asking price of Rs 6,499.
