iOS 11 for iPhones, iPads and iPods to roll out globally starting from September 19

The latest iOS updates come equipped with features like iPhone-to-iPhone payments, do not disturb while driving mode, multitasking features, the Files app and more.

After the months of Beta testing, Apple is all set to release the latest iOS 11 tomorrow, i.e. September 19. The iOS 11 was announced earlier this year in June at the Apple WWDC and the Cupertino-based giant is referring it as “a giant step for iPhone and a monumental leap for iPad.”

The latest iOS will be available for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, and other Apple devices starting from iPhone 5S or newer, 5th Gen iPad or newer and iPod touch 6th Gen.The iOS 11 comes with new features and improvement over it’s older version. It includes features like iPhone-to-iPhone payments, do not disturb while driving mode which appears to be similar to Bike Mode by Samsung, multitasking features, the Files app and additional channels to use Apple Pencil with your iPad. The first biggest change in iOS 11 is the Control Center.The new Control Center comes with full-screen view and all the toggles and options are in one place, so there is no need to swipe right for your music. One can also customise the settings to add, subtract and rearrange different shortcuts according to one’s requirement.

The second biggest update is Siri. In iOS 11, Siri will be able to learn from you and it will utilize device data to understand more about your preferences. Further, you can ask Siri to translate English to French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Italian and many more languages Apple planning to extend over the months.

iOS 11 bring in the convenience of Apple Pay to Messages.In simple words, Apple Pay can be used to transfer money to your friends through iMessages, though Apple Pay is not available in India but we hope it will available soon in India.

Apple has added some interesting features to Live Photoslike a loop to turn a live photo in a video loop, bounce and long exposure to capture the elements of time and movement.

App Store is completely redesigned, now you’ll see daily stories by experts, a dedicated Game tab and much more to emancipate which App or Game you might need or like.

The Lock Screen and the Notification Center are merged together into one entity. Now when you pull down from the top of your lock screen, you will be able to access all the notifications.

For users with smaller storage variants phones like 16GB can use their phones for a longer period because photos and videos will be stored with up to 2X Better Compression. So bye-bye to storage full notifications.

Another wonderful feature which is introduced in the latest iOS is Do Not Disturb While Driving. Now your iPhone will sense if you are in a moving car and will show you a completely black screen to avoid distractions, but in case you are not driving and sitting at the back then you will be able to operate your phone normally.

File App, another useful update of iOS 11 which houses all the content on the iPhone or iPad, iCloud, apps content and content stored on other clouds like Google Drive, Box, Dropbox and others. This allows to easily access and manage the data.

Screen Recordingis also present it will allow you torecord screen without any cables necessary and one even turn the microphone audio on/off which can be useful in different ways. Coming to the screenshots, earlier you take a screenshot and it goes to the gallery but now the screenshots float down to the left corner where you can take actions by tapping on it and you use different tools to mark or highlight stuff according to your requirement.
