Intex today formally announced that it will launch its first octa core processor based smartphone in January next year. Though it has not revealed the name yet, the Indian handset manufacturer said that the phone will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage variants and price will start from Rs 20,000.
The Intex phone will have the MediaTek’s octa core processor which was announced recently. Named as MediaTek MT6592, the octa core processor comes with eight processing cores, each can be clocked up to 2 GHz. You can click this link link to know more about the processor.
Meanwhile, Intex said the octa core smartphone will be launched in its Aqua series. The phone will come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2 GB RAM, and a replaceable 2300 mAh battery. Besides the huge internal storage as said above, the phone will have an expandable storage slot as well.
The Intex octa core smartphone, which is also the first octa core smartphone to be launched by any Indian company, will have a 13 Megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The handset will come with dual speakers. It will have a 6 inch IPS display. Intex has also promised to provide a flip cover along with the phone.
