Idea Cellular has revised its existing Rs 198 plan to provide more data benefits to its prepaid users. The plan has been updated in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles.

Under the revised plan, users will get 1.5GB of 4G data, which is an upgrade to the 1GB data offered previously. Further, users who buy the recharge from company’s website or MyIdea application will get additional 1GB of data, making a grand total of 2.5GB of data.

The plan offers unlimited free local and STD calls on any network along with 100 SMs per day. However, there is a cap on the free calls. Users will get only 250 minutes per day and 1,000 minutes a week and one cannot call more than 100 unique users in a week. Once the limit is exhausted, then users need to pay 1 paisa per second for calls. The pack comes with a validity of 28 days.

Earlier, Idea rolled out a new plan of Rs 398. The plan offers unlimited voice calling and 1GB data per day. The new Idea plan is available in all its circles, however, the pricing and the validity of the plan differs in some circles.

Additionally, customers will get unlimited local and STD voice calls including incoming and outgoing roaming calls and 1GB 3G/4G data per day. Sadly, this plan doesn’t offer any SMS benefits.

However, this plan validity differs in different telecom circles. For example, in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle, the pack is offering a validity of 56 days only, while in some other circles, it is offering 70 days of validity. Also, And the price of the plan may differ with each circle.
