Idea offers 60GB additional data on Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus

Idea is offering additional 60GB of 4G data with the purchase of the latest Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 smartphones.

Idea Cellular has partnered with Sony India to announce a new deal for its users. Under this partnership, Idea is offering additional 60GB of data with the purchase of the latest Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 smartphones.

Idea users will get 10GB of free 4G data, though one has to do a recharge of Rs 300 and above. Further, users can avail this offer six times, which makes a grand total of 60GB of additional data.

To recall, both the smartphones were launched exclusively for the Indian market in October this year. The Xperia R1 Plus comes with a price tag of Rs 12,990, while the Xperia R1 is priced at Rs 14,990 and both the smartphones will be available for sale in India from November 10 onwards.

Coming to the specifications, the smartphones feature a 5.2-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, both of them are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The Xperia R1 Plus is backed by a 3GB of and 32GB of internal storage, while the R1 features a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via micro card slot.

On the camera front, both the devices feature 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, 8x and flash. For the front, there is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling.

The smartphones are 8.0 Oreo ready, meaning that the company will soon update it to the latest Android version. Both of them run on Android Nougat. The Xperia R1 Plus and Xperia R1 feature a 2620mAh battery. On the connectivity front, both of them supports, 4G VoLTE, GPS, 4.2, USB Type-C, WiFi and support. Both of them measures 146 x 73.2 x 8.89 mm and weighs 154 grams.
