Idea Cellular has now expanded its high-speed 4G LTE services to cover 9 Districts of North East Service Area. Idea’s 4G LTE services are now available in Agartala, Aizawl, Imphal, Kohima, Mokokchung, Senapati and Tura, in addition to Dimapur launched earlier this year.
Idea has also announced that its subscribers in the region can get the 4G SIM for free. The teleco is currently offering ‘4G Trial Packs’ starting at Rs 46. On SIM upgradation, users will get 1GB 4G Data for free (validity for five days). For high data users, Idea is offering postpaid plans of Rs 999, Rs 1,499 and Rs 2,499.
Speaking on the expansion, Anish Roy, chief operating officer, east, Idea Cellular said, “As part of the aggressive roll out of Idea’s 4G LTE service, our focus has been to build a robust telecom infrastructure and provide superior internet coverage. With better internet experience at affordable tariff plans and commitment towards customer delight, we aim to provide the best experience to our subscribers.”
Idea Cellular offers 2G services on 1800 MHz platform in over 500 towns and villages, 3G services on intra circle Roaming basis (ICR) and has now introduced its high speed 4G LTE services in the region.
The Rs 999 postpaid plan offers unlimited Idea to Idea Local calls, 3 GB Data subscription; the same sort of benefits are available for prepaid subscribers but at Rs 1098 and is called Ultimate 1098 Prepaid plan. The Ultimate 1499 Postpaid plan bundles unlimited Local voice calls, along with 5 GB data (Ultimate 1749 Prepaid plan). The Ultimate 2999 Postpaid plan offers unlimited National, Local and Roaming voice calls with 15 GB Data subscription (Ultimate 3249 Prepaid plan).
