Hungama Digital Media Entertainment has pushed a new update for its Music service App – Hungama Free Bollywood Music. The update brings stability and new user experience along with bunch of audio-video content centric features.
The Hungama music app is available for free on the Apple iOS, Google Android and BlackBerry 10 mobile platforms. The company has plans to release the app for the Windows Phone platform in coming two months.
The Hungama Free Bollywood Music app brings free streaming of music as well as video content from the vast library. Over 2 million songs and videos are accessible to enjoy anytime through the app. At this moment, the App offers music streaming of up to 128 Kbps quality music in order to provide seamless music listening. The app also allows watching music videos and promos in any orientation mode without any stutter or lag.
The music app offers fresh looking homescreen with tiles – each tile for song, album and playlist.
Neeraj Roy, managing director and chief executive officer of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment stated that the new user experience in the app also has some patent-pending elements implemented to help the users discover and enjoy the music as well as the videos.
The music app also brings some sharing and Loyalty features along with the self explanatory Gym and Sleep modes. The Loyalty feature basically awards the user with reward points for every song liked, shared, videos watched, friends invited or even for a playlist created. These points can be later used to purchase digital content – songs, videos, wallpaper, merchandise, gadgets and so on from Hungama.
Mood Discovery is like an extension of customized search feature lets the user choose the type of mood and then set the era of music one aspires to find. The search results can further be customized by language, genre, tempo and thus users can find all different kinds of music for particular mood, language, genre, era and tempo.
Songs offered for streaming also come with some meta data about the songs in details and also number of songs come with Trivia about the movie/song as well as lyrics. One can also share these additional information over social networks, via email or SMS.
There is Artist Radio feature that allows the user to listen to songs based on particular artists, singer or music composer. Of course, the search option also offers the trending tags of most searched options just below the search box. That saves the user from typing out entire name and simply taps on the respective tag. Users will have to pay for downloading their favourite tracks or streaming full length videos without advertisements.
The Hungama app will compete with music offering app based services such as Google Music, Gaana, Saavn, Raaga and few others.
