Huawei Nova 5 might feature new 7nm Kirin 810 chipset, Nova 5 Pro images leaked

Just ahead of the official launch, it is revealed that the Huawei Nova 5 will be the first smartphone from the company to be powered by the latest Kirin 810 processor.

Huawei is all set to launch its Nova 5 series in China on June 21. Now, just ahead of the official launch, it is revealed that the Huawei Nova 5 will be the first smartphone from the company to be powered by the latest Kirin 810 processor. Furthermore, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro live images have been leaked online.

Huawei’s smartphone division head, He Gang, revealed that Huawei will become the first smartphone brand with two 7nm chipsets in its portfolio. This also confirms that the upcoming Huawei Nova 5 will be the first smartphone to be powered by the upcoming 7nm Kirin chipset, which is believed to be the Kirin 810 processor.

The new Kirin 810 will replace the Kirin 710, which is currently available in Huawei’s mid-range portfolio. The company has already introduced Kirin 980 with a Huawei 7nm process that currently powers Huawei Mate 20 series, Huawei P30 series and Honor 20 series.

Talking about the upcoming Kirin 810 chipset, it is reported to come with two ARM Cortex-A76 cores and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset will be backed by a Mali-G52 and it will be made using TSMC 7nm process.

Huawei Nova 5 Pro

Meanwhile, Huawei Nova 5 Pro live images have been leaked online. The leaked images reveal that the smartphone will come in two colour options, which is similar to what we have seen in Honor 20 Pro. This means that the phone might come with Phantom Blue and Phantom Green colour variants.

Furthermore, the live images reveal that the phone will feature quad-camera setup and the primary lens will be of 48-megapixels. The cameras are aligned vertically at the top-left corner of the back panel and there is no fingerprint sensor, which hints that the phone will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The leaked images also reveal that the phone will come with a 40W support.
