Huawei MateBook D (2018) launched with 8th gen Intel Core processors, upgraded graphics

The 2018 model will sport a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and 350nits brightness.

Huawei has refreshed its MateBook D series with the latest processors and GPUs. Dubbed as Huawei MateBook D (2018), the laptops are available for purchase in China. The Core i5 model with 256GB SSD storage comes with price tag of CNY 5,188 (approx. Rs 50,761), while the Core i5 model with 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage costs CNY 5,488 (approx. Rs 53,696). The Core i7 model is priced at CNY 6,688 (approx. Rs 65,437).

The Huawei MateBook (2018) features the same design, as we have seen in the 2017 models. This means that the device will come with metal unibody design and the models will be sleek with just 16.9mm thickness.

The 2018 model will sport a 15.6-inch Full display with a screen of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 83 percent screen-to-body ratio and 350nits brightness. The major highlights of the series are the latest 8th generation of Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors.

The base model comes with Core i5 with 256GB SSD storage, while there is another Core i5 variant with 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage. The high-end Core i7 model comes with 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD storage as well. The laptop is backed by an 8GB of and it runs on Windows 10 operating system.

Moving on, the MateBook D (2018) is backed by the latest Nvidia MX150 graphics card and it packs a 43.3Wh battery, which the company claims can provide backup up to 10 hours. The device comes loaded with Dolby panoramic speaker system and on the connectivity front, it supports two 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI port and dual-antenna design for WiFi.
