Huawei launches 3G phone with BSNL Tamil Nadu

U7510 has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, 100 MB Internal memory, expandable memory support up to 8 GB, 2 megapixel camera and a second VGA camera on the front for video calling.

Huawei, along with BSNL Tamil Nadu, has launched a 3G touch screen phone, U7510. The phone looks very similar to Huawei’s Android phone Ideos but is based on Qualcomm’s Brew operating system.

The phone comes bundled with free video callings for 30 minutes every month for six months (local/STD), free talk time (Rs 50 every month for six months) and free 25MB 3G Internet/Data usage. The customer has to shell out Rs 6750 for this package. The scheme is only valid in Tamil Nadu.

What is surprising is that the phone is not going to be launched anywhere else in the country. This was confirmed by a Huawei spokesperson.

Huawei U7510 is powered by a Qualcomm Brew 3.1 processor alongside GSM/UMTS/HSDPA that provides up to 3.6 Mbps data speed, and Bluetooth with A2DP support.

The phone has a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, 100 MB internal memory, an expandable memory support up to 8 GB, a 2 megapixel camera and a second VGA camera for video calling on the front.
