HTC U12 Life to launch with Android Oreo

HTC U12 Life smartphone will feature a 6-inch display with 1,080 x 2,160 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be fueled by 3600 mAh battery and will also feature a fingerprint sensor.

HTC is working on its new smartphone dubbed as “Imagine Life” aka HTC U12 Life. The specs of HTC U12 Life already leaked earlier without revealing the Android version. Now reportedly, the HTC U12 Life will launch with Android 8.1 Oreo and not the latest Android Pie.

As per a tweet by popular tipster @LlabTooFeR on Twitter, the HTC U12 Life will come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Additionally, the tweet also mentions that the device will be ODM manufactured. So, the phone will not be made by HTC themselves, instead, it will be outsourced to an ODM (original design manufacturer).

Earlier leaks have revealed that the HTC U12 Life smartphone will feature a 6-inch display with 1,080 x 2,160 pixel and 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be fueled by 3600 battery and will also feature a fingerprint sensor.

Armed by Snapdragon 636 with eight Kryo 260 cores, it will come 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage which can be expandable via a card slot. The U12 Life will have dual rear cameras of 16-megapixel + 5-megapixel sensors with video recording. It will have a 13-megapixel front camera with a selfie flash.

HTC U12+ smartphone was launched in India recently. It has a 6-inch Quad Super display with a screen resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels, a dual rear camera with a combination of 12MP and 16MP. A dual front camera setup is also there with two 8-megapixel sensors. The phone is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 2.6GHz octa processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and has backed by a 35000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

Meanwhile, HTC has confirmedit will soon start rolling out the Android Pie update to four of its smartphones – HTC U12+, U11+, U11 and U11 Life but without any time-frame.
