HTC U11 is reported to soon a get the new major update, which will add some nifty features to the smartphone. According to the latest tip, Bluetooth 5.0 will be activated this the upcoming update.
According to a tweet by @LlabTooFeR, the latest Bluetooth version will be activated. For the unintended, the HTC U11 already ships with the latest Bluetooth 5.0, however, it is not currently activated.
Further, the update will also bring the latest August security patch, adding more security on the device. The update will further enable HTC U11 to shoot 1080p videos at 60 frames per second (fps). Other than this, the update will also include sRGB screen mode, some general camera tweaks, performance tweaks, thermal tweaks and EDGE Sense tweaks. However, the tipster reveals that the roll-out varies from region to region.

On the battery front, it has a 3000 mAh unit with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which claims to deliver a talk time of up to 24.5 hours and standby time of up to 14 days. It has hybrid dual SIM slot (nano SIM). Besides, the smartphone offers 4G, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5GHz)) and NFC.
