While most handset makers are busy working on smart watch like device, HTC has different plans for smartphone accessory. HTC has quietly put up a new phone accessory – HTC Mini+, which is basically a phone-like remote control for the smartphones. The HTC Mini+ allows making calls, send text messages, use as remote control for TV and more. The Mini+ will support HTC’s new smartphones such as One, One mini, Butterfly S, Desire 200 and Desire 500.
HTC Mini+ has a 4-inch gray OLED display with 128×128 pixel resolution. This display is meant only to see the numbers and characters for calling-messaging. The Mini+ also has built-in Infrared and Near Field Communication capabilities. These can be used to control PowerPoint presentations. The Mini+ also acts as a remote control while streaming media over the HTC Media Link HD accessory.
HTC Mini+ comes in metallic silver colour and almost reminds one of small Apple remote. The Mini+ has a 320 mAh battery and runs for about 9 hours.
