HTC is planning to release its first 5-inch display bearing smartphone for the International markets. This phone has already been announced for Japan as HTC Butterfly J and in the USA market as the Droid DNA. It will be launched as HTC DLX (Deluxe) in the International markets.
This smartphone will have 5-inch SLCD 3 capacitive display with 1080p HD native resolution. This display has been constructed using Corning Gorilla Glass 2 technology for strength and resistance from scratch. This smartphone has 16 GB internal storage out of which 11 GB is available to the users.
The HTC DLX will house a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Pro APQ8064 mobile processor paired with Adreno 320 graphics chip. By default, the HTC DLX will have 2 GB RAM and will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean with the Sense 4.1 user interface. This phone is upgradeable to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean whenever it is released.
The HTC DLX packs 8 Megapixel camera with full HD video recording and the ImageSense chip for better quality images. In the front lies a 2.1 megapixel camera capable of full HD videos. HTC has also added the Beats Audio technology to this smartphone for better audio output with Beats Headphones.
Packing all usual set of features, the HTC DLX will have 2020 mAh battery which should make it last at least 7-8 hours. This smartphone will also support LTE apart from 3G and 2G networks. HTC has not announced the exact date of launch, availability or price.
