Honor View 10 starts getting Android 9.0 Pie update

The update brings various changes in the User Interface of the device along with a host of other features and EMUI 9.0.

After Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Honor View 10 has now reportedly started receiving Android 9.0 Pie update. As of now, the update is currently rolled out to units of View 10 in Europe.

As per a report, the update is rolling out in the European market for Huawei View 10 BKL-L09 and it brings version number 9.0.0.108 based on EMUI9.0. Earlier Honor View 10 received an update with Turbo GPU which improved the gaming performance by 60%.

The update is rolled out via OTA (Over-the-Air) in a phased manner. So it may take a while to reach all handsets. In order to get the latest update, users can go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.

The update brings various changes in the User Interface of the device along with a host of other features and EMUI 9.0. The changes include new gesture-based navigation, Manual theme selection, New Quick Settings UI, Android 9.0 based volume slider, Adaptive brightness, Android Dashboard which Google calls Digital Wellbeing and much more.

To recall, Honor View 10 was launched in India in January this year at a price tag of Rs 29,999. It features a 5.99-inch FullView 18:9 display and will be powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor. It features a dual camera setup of 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it has a 13-megapixel camera sensor. The phone is fueled by a 3750 mAh battery with fast charging support.
