HMD Global has announced on its Twitter handle that it has scheduled an event on December 5. The event will be held for the launch of a new member of the Nokia family.
The tweet, however, does not reveal the name of the smartphones to be unveiled at the event. It only mentions the date for the event. It is expected that the company will be unveiling the Nokia 8.2 and 2.3 smartphones at the event.

Nokia 8.2 will be the successor of theNokia 8.1 which was launched in India last year. As per an earlier report, Nokia 8.2 5G will be fueled by the forthcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 735 chipset which will succeed the Snapdragon 730. The Nokia 8.2 5G will come in three variants – 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage, 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. The 8GB RAM variant will be a first for a Nokia smartphone.
The phone will have a quad-camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor and also a pop-up selfie camera. The pop-up selfie camera at the top of the Nokia 8.2 is expected to be a 32MP sensor which could be Samsung’s GD1 image sensor with Quad-Bayer pixel-binning technology.
Nokia 2.3 will be the successor of Nokia 2.2 which was launched in June this year. Nokia 2.3 comes with model number is TA-1206 and has dual SIM support. The phone will reportedly come in Sand, Cyan Green, and Charcoal colour variants.
The phone has also passed through Bluetooth certification with a MediaTek processor and Bluetooth 5.0. Like all other Nokia phones, Nokia 2.3 is also likely to be part of Android One program that means it will run on Stock Android operating system and will receive regular updates as well.
