New standalone Google Calendar app allows syncing the Google’s Calendar along with other calendars to offer them more features. For starters, the standalone Calendar app will let users snooze events from the notification itself, hence there’s no need to open the app. Power users can set pre-defined message templates such as “Joining late” which can be sent to the event participants directly from the notifications.
