Google Maps coming to iOS, suggest report

Purported images of the Google Maps app for the iOS devices surface online hinting that Google indeed is working to deliver the app.

Despite being ripped out of 6 by Apple, Google Maps may soon be back on the platform, suggested a report of Dan Guild. The developer has posted couple of blurry images of native Google Maps app running on the iPhone 5. Guild noted that the app is still in alpha stage and supported for the 4-inch display bearing iPhone 5.

Apple had replaced the native Google Maps app with an in-house developed Maps application. Apple has been taking loads of heat for half-developed Maps app and even apologized for inconvenience. Meanwhile Google has been working to develop the Google Maps app for iOS from ground up and make it available through App Store.

It will be really interesting to see how the Google Maps app would fare against the already new native Maps app by Apple.

Since the Google Maps App for iOS is in alpha testing stage we can expect the app to be ready for use by year end most likely.
