Google has launched a new travel help application – On The Fly, for air travellers. The application is basically a search engine for flight timings and fares all over the globe. Coupled with the location aware Android interface, the App allows the users to get a fast and reliable fix for their travel.
To make things simpler, the application has been given full control over search parameters and along with that the users also get suggestions for most search related queries as well. The fares displayed by the application are collected on real time basis and displayed with full detail which the users can always access if required.
The application also allows the users to see and plan their travel itinerary in advance with the best possible fares and the least fares being automatically highlighted for.
The application though has no support for travel booking so users will still have to involve third party services to get their tickets booked. But it is not too far away when this service will also be added to this service for added benefits for the users.
The utility is available free of cost for all and requires Android version 1.6 and above. The application can be downloaded directly on the Android devices from the Android Marketplace or alternatively user can also follow this link to download it also.
