Google had announced Daydream View virtual reality headset last month at the Pixel event where it launched Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Now Google has announced that the Daydream View headset will be available on Google Store and other retailers on November 10 in five countries.
Google’s virtual reality headset Daydream View will be available in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia from November 10. It is now available for pre-order on the Google Store for $79 ( Rs 5,300). In the retail stores, it will be priced at $79 in the United States, €69 in Germany, $119 in Australia, £69 in United Kingdom and $99 in Canada from November 10 onward.
The Google Daydream View virtual reality headset is made of light and comfortable soft micro fibre instead of plastic or cardboard material used in most of the VR headsets. Daydream works with smartphones that are powered by Android Nougat. Currently, only the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones are the devices that are compatible with the Daydream VR headset. Other big brands like HTC, LG, Xiaomi and Huawei will also soon launch Daydream-compatible smartphones. With Daydream View, you can watch movies, TV shows, and even play VR games. It supports apps like YouTube, Street View, Play Movies and Google Photos and game like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
As of now, the Google Daydream View virtual reality headset is available in one colour, Slate, but Google will launch two more colours -Crimson and Snow, by the end of the year.
