Getac partners with pureLiFi to enable data transmission through light in future devices

Getac has announced a partnership with leading LiFi technology provider pureLiFi for enabling high-speed data transmission through light on future rugged wireless devices.

By introducing LiFi technology, Getac users can take advantage of the security and reliability of a wired network with the flexibility of a wireless solution. The company says that LiFi is more secure and virtually interference-free compared to other wireless solutions.

LiFi will enable data transmission through light instead of radio waves at high speeds through small adjustments in the intensity. Users will thus be able to enjoy high-speed Internet which is more secure, reliable and has a higher than conventional wireless communications.

Getac says it will continue to evaluate and design future devices with LiFi technology. The company aims to overcome challenges and safeguard and improve productivity in military, automotive, and manufacturing industries with their future products.
