Epson PictureMate PM520 colour inkjet photo printer launched in India at Rs 19,999

The printer will cost you Rs 19,999, while the refill cartridge comes with a price of Rs 1,429.

Epson, a known name in the printing industry, has launched its latest PictureMate PM520 photo printer in India. The printer will cost you Rs 19,999, while the refill cartridge comes with a price of Rs 1,429. The printer is available in select retail stores across India.

The predecessor of PictureMate PM245, the photo printer offers borderless photo printing up to 5 x 7 inch and printing border up to A5 size. The printer supports colour inkjet printing technology. It supports WiFi and WiFi direct along with other Epson connect features and offers a 3.7-inch screen. The photo printer comes with an optional battery and a warranty of 1 year or 13,000 prints, whichever comes first.

Coming to some technical specifications, the PictureMate PM520 can print a maximum of 5760 x 1440 dpi. It has a print speed of 36 seconds per photo (borderless) and has a standard paper input capacity of 50 sheets of A5 plain paper and 20 sheets of glossy photo paper. The printer further supports different paper sizes including A5, A6, 9 x 13 cm (3.5 x 5 in), 10 x 15 cm (4 x 6 in), 13 x 18 cm (5 x 7 in), 16:9 wide size.

On the connectivity front, it supports 2.0, WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct and there is also a dedicated card slots. The printer measures 265 x 196 x 137 mm and weighs 2.3kg.

Commenting on the launch, Siva Kumar, General Manager, Inkjet Printers said “We are excited to announce the launch of our new PictureMate printer – PM 520. We have recognised the need for an upgrade from PM245 in the market, and through PM 520, we aim to fulfil the requirement for printing 4×6, 5×7 & A5 outputs in studios & tourist locations while keeping the product handy and compact.”
