Bad news for OnePlus 2 smartphone owners who were waiting for Android Nougat in their devices. As per a report of Android Authority, the company has recently confirmed that Android Nougat will not be released to OnePlus 2.

OnePlus also said that the company’s customer service has been informing consumers for a while now that Android 7.0 Nougat will not be coming to the OnePlus 2. The report revealed that the company stated: “customer service has been telling customers this for a little while” and that “we’re happy about what we’re doing with the software. We already confirmed Android O will come for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. So [no Nougat for the OnePlus 2] isn’t new and we think people were aware of it.”

Furthermore, the company said “when we built the OnePlus 2 we didn’t have the software infrastructure team in place we do now” as a reason behind not rolling update for the OnePlus 2
