Dell has announced its latest laptop ahead of Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018. The laptop comes with a starting price of $999.99 (approx. Rs 63,374) and it is already available in the US. The brand has also introduced Unbuntu-based edition with Linux preloaded at a starting price of $949.99 (approx. Rs 60,206).

The major highlight of the laptop is the new 13-inch InfinityEdge display fitted in an 11-inch frame. The device features up to screen resolution. The brand says that one can wipe off pen marks or other stains from the laptop. Dell has also added glass fibre materials that help the laptop to stay cooler for a longer period of time. The Dell XPS 13 is powered by 8th generation Intel Core i5 (Core i5-8250U) or and Core i7 (Core i7-8550U) processors.

The laptop is backed by a 1TB of SSD storage and the company claims that it can give up to 30 hours of battery backup of Full and up to 11 hours of backup of UHD resolution. The laptop ships with a USB Type-A to USB adaptor. The laptop also comes loaded with voice, touch and facial recognition along with an optional fingerprint reader in the power button that works with Windows Hello. The laptop runs on Windows 10 operating system. That said, there is no information about the pricing and availability for the Indian market.
