Dell releases Streak 10 pro in China, India in wait list

Dell unveiled its first 10 inch tablet in China as a first. However, other countries like India will have to wait sometime more to get hands on.

Dell has taken the wraps off its first 10.1 inch screen based tablet based on Android, the Dell Streak 10 Pro, which goes in to direct competition with devices like the iPad 2 and several other 10 inch tablets already available in the market.

As of now, Dell has released the tablet only in China but will sell the tablet in other countries as well.

While talking to The Mobile Indian, the Dell India spokesperson confirmed the future availability of this device in India but did not give any concrete date as to when it would be.

But as hinted by the spokesperson, the Dell Streak 10 Pro is expected to be launched in India later this year or by early next year.

In terms of configuration, the Dell Streak 10 Pro has a Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core running at 1GHz with a 1GB or RAM for speedy operations. In terms of storage, the Streak 10 offers 16 of internal storage with an expansion slot supporting 32GB more memory.

It has got a 5 rear camera along with a 2 MP front camera for video conferencing. Last but not the least, the Streak 10 features Google Honeycomb v3.1 with Dell’s patent Stage user interface.

The Streak has been priced competitively at 2,999 yuan (Rs 20,600 approx) whereas an iPad 2 in China costs CNY 3,688 (Rs 25,300 approx).
