Computex 2018: Asus introduces new ZenBook, VivoBook notebooks, Project Precog, VivoWatch BP and more

The new range of products, including ZenBook Pro 15, ZenBook Pro 14 and ZenBook S, a full lineup of VivoBook notebooks, and the VivoWatch BP wearable blood-pressure monitor at the ongoing 2018 Computex in Taiwan. Further, the brand has also introduced a dual-screen notebook equipped with AI features

The computer hardware brand, ASUS has unveiled an all-new range of products, including ZenBook Pro 15, ZenBook Pro 14 and ZenBook S, a full lineup of VivoBook notebooks, and the VivoWatch BP wearable blood-pressure monitor at the ongoing 2018 Computex in Taiwan. Further, the brand has also introduced a dual-screen notebook equipped with artificial intelligence features.

ZenBook Pro 15 (UX580), ZenBook Pro 14 (UX480) and ZenBook S (UX391)

Starting with the ZenBook Pro 15, it is powered by 8th Gen Intel-core i9 hexacore processor and GeForce GTX 1050Ti GPU. Backed up by 1TB SSD, it comes with the 15.6-inch Ultra NanoEdge PANTONE display. While the ZenBook Pro 14 is packed with latest 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 MAX-Q graphics. It features a 14-inch Full HD NanoEdge display with an camera for facial recognition and built-in support for Amazon Alexa voice-powered services.

The ZenBook S (UX391) is tested to meet military-grade MIL-STD-810G durability standards. It features the new ErgoLift hinge that automatically tilts the keyboard by 5.5 degrees for better typing comfort. Further, the raised chassis is also said to improve airflow and enhances audio performance. Powered by 8th Generation Intel-core processors the ZenBook S also features up to a 4K Ultra HD NanoEdge touchscreen same as the Pro 15, and claimed to deliver up to 13.5 hours battery life.

VivoBook S15 (S530) and VivoBook S14 (S430)

VivoBook S15 and VivoBook S14 weigh only 1.8kg and 1.4kg respectively, and both notebooks are impressively thin at just 18mm. An ErgoLift hinge raises the keyboard to provide a comfortable typing experience similar to a desktop keyboard and also improves cooling for better system stability.

VivoBook S15 and S14 are the first notebooks in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design that has even narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. This gives VivoBook S15 an 86 percent of screen-to-body ratio, while the VivoBook S14 gets 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. Further, powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics. Both notebooks feature dual-storage designs, with VivoBook S15 featuring up to a 512GB SSD and 2TB HDD.

VivoBook S13 (S330) and VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412)

VivoBook S13 features 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, it gets the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics. While, the VivoBook Flip 14 (TP412) featuring a 360°-flippable display that allows this versatile device to be used in notebook, stand, tent and tablet modes. Same as the S13 it houses the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with 16GB of RAM and features up to a 1TB SSD for fast. The VivoBook Flip 14 is also equipped with a touchpad-mounted fingerprint sensor for one-touch login via Window Hello and also supports the ASUS Pen active for accurate input and writing with a natural, responsive feel.

Project Precog Prototype

Project Precog is a concept of the first convertible, the dual-screen notebook with fully enhanced features. Project Precog implements a novel dual-screen form factor for versatility, expandability and increased productivity. With a 360-degree hinge joining the two displays, the PC can be used in four modes – Stand, Book, Tent, and Flat. With this the brand has got rid of the traditional physical keyboard and touchpad setup, replacing it with the flexibility to work as either an extended screen or as a customizable interactive interface.

Project Precog is designed to provide a smooth and intuitive experience for industry-leading AI technologies. AI Touch automatically recognizes the active input device and changes the virtual interface accordingly. It can automatically adjust the keyboard location depending on where the user places their fingertips, or automatically switch to stylus mode when a stylus touches the lower screen.

With built-in Window and Amazon Alexa, users can get more done with the power of their voice. The dual-screen design of Project Precog lets users keep their main tasks in full view while virtual assistants process other tasks on the second screen. The enlarged screen real estate is also perfect for apps processing large amounts of data and information, such as the AI-powered Microsoft Office 365.

Zen AiO 27 Desktop

ASUS Zen AiO 27 is a 27-inch 4K Ultra HD all-in-one PC that is designed with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 32GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU. In addition, a 28-day battery life ensures users can keep track of their health anytime, anywhere.
