BSNL has launched a new mobile phone, named as Bharat Phone, for Rs 1,099. The smartphone comes with a e-governance application and is optimised for internet access to empower common man, BSNL chairman R K Upadhyay said while launching the phone last Friday.
The BSNL Bharat Phone has a three-inch display with provision for dual SIM card. It is designed and developed by Pantel Technologies, which had in the past made several phones and tablets for BSNL as well.
The phone has a 1.3 Megapixel rear camera, 64 MB RAM, Bluetooth, 8 GB expandable storage slot, FM radio, and an 1800 mAh battery that promises 15 days standby.
