BSNL introduces Rs 499 postpaid plan to counter Airtel and Vodafone

BSNL users will get 45GB monthly data, unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day to the users. However, this plan does not come with data rollover facility which means that the unused data cannot be leftover for further usage in the next billing cycle.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced a new plan for its postpaid users. The plan is priced at Rs 499 and offers as much as 45GB of monthly data to the customers.

Under this offer, BSNL users will get 45GB monthly data, unlimited calling and 100 per day to the users, reports TelecomTalk. However, this plan does not come with data rollover facility which means that the unused data cannot be leftover for further usage in the next billing cycle. So the customer should consume 45GB data within the current month itself.

Furthermore, the report says that the Rs 499 postpaid plan gives users unlimited voice calls to any network even on without any daily or monthly FUP limit.

In comparison with other telcos, Airtel has Rs 499 postpaid plan which offers users 40GB of 4G/3G data along with free unlimited outgoing calls on national roaming and one-year Amazon Prime subscription. There are also Vodafone and Idea Cellular postpaid plans of Rs 499 plan with 40GB data benefits for a monthly billing cycle. All these three plans offer 5GB less than the BSNL Rs 499 plan. However Airtel, Vodafone and Idea plans do come with data rollover facility which is not in the BSNL plan.

BSNL recently announced Data Tsunami pack for Rs 98. Under this offer, BSNL users will get 1.5GB per day and the pack comes with a validity of 26 days. This means users will get 39GB of per month, which is higher as compared to other plans offered by different telecos at this price range. However, it is important to note that this is a data-only plan and it does not come bundled with unlimited voice calls or SMS benefits.
