BlackBerry KEYone has now started receiving a stable Android Oreo update in Canada. The smartphone was rolled Android Oreo Beta firmware last month as an upgrade to the first beta update that was rolled out earlier in July.
The update was announced by TCL Communications revealing that the update is being released to the unlocked versions and the carrier versions of the handset.
To check for the manual update, BlackBerry KEYone users can go to Settings -> System -> System Updates. After the Oreo update, users will have features like adaptive icons, Google’s Autofill API for easier Password entry and picture-in-picture support.
The BlackBerry Keyone originally launched with 7.1 Nougat last year. The smartphone features an aluminium frame and a 4.5-inch full-HD (1620×1080 pixels) IPS display. The Keyone is armed by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core Processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 506 GPU.
The KEYone offers a 12-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX378 sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a Wide-Angle lens. It has a 64GB of inbuilt storage and a 3505mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.
