BlackBerry has already confirmed that it will be launching a new smartphone at the IFA 2018 on August 30. Now, the company has recently rolled out a new teaser that hints that it might launch the BlackBerry KEY2 LE.
The company has posted a new teaser video on its official Twitter handle that gives a glimpse of the back panel of the upcoming smartphone along with a caption that reads, “Almost time for a new introduction. #IFA18.” The teaser shows the back panel that comes with a rubberised finish, which we have seen in recent BlackBerry smartphones. Further, one can see the company’s logo on the back. This hints that the upcoming launch will be none other than the toned down version of the KEY2.

The phone has been leaked on various occasions, revealing some key design and specifications. To start with, the phone will surely feature a physical keyboard, which is present in KEY2 and KEYOne smartphones. The phone will have atextured finish at the back, while the edges could be made of aluminium.
Jumping straight to specifications, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE is reported to feature 4.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels, an aspect ratio of 3:2 and 433ppi pixel density. The screen will be further protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Chipset along with Adreno 509 GPU. This is the same Processor that powers the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, unlike these two phones, the BlackBerry KEY2 LE will be not priced under Rs 15,000 budget. Moving on, the phone will be backed by a 4GB of RAM and it will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage options.
For optics, one could expect it to feature a 13-megapixel and5-megapixel Sensors at the back with LED flash. The phone will surely run on Android 8.1 Oreo, which will be protected with BlackBerry apps suite. The device might feature a 3000mAh battery and connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, dual SIM, 3.5mm Audio Jack and USB Type-C port. The phone measures 150.25 x 71.8 x 8.35 mm and weighs 156 grams.
