The cable can support 12W optimal charging for iOS devices and the laser welded connector can withstand a force of over 40.47 pounds.
Concentrating on Apple devices, precisely iPads and iPhones, Belkin India today launched its new USB cable named Belkin Mixit DuraTek Lightning to USB Cable. The cable comes in four colours namely black, gold, rose gold and silver and is priced at Rs 2,499.
The cable can support 12W optimal charging for iOS devices and the laser welded connector can withstand a force of over 40.47 pounds. The cable comes with highly polished extruded aluminum casing which matches the premium design seen on iPhones and iPads.
Belkin India claims that the new lightning cable consists Kevlar fibers which improve the inner wiring and give additional strength. The abrasion-resistant nylon forms a tough outer jacket, and the flexible insulation helps minimize the damage from friction. Adding to these features, the cable also boasts a smart design to strengthen the cable at its stress points.
Further, to protect from external electromagnetic interference, the cable comes with metalized Mylar shielding. Moreover, Thermoplastic elastomer cable jacket is soft, pliable and environment-friendly, claims Belkin.
