Asus has announced that its Eee Pad Transformer tablets will get Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update in coming months, according to Engadget. The website claimed to have an email sent out by Asus to the owners of the new Eee Pad Transformer TF300 and TF700 tablets promising the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update. The company did not promise fixed time of arrival for the update but only promised to roll it out in coming months.
Asus has been active on the Android based tablet front by introducing tablets earlier than its competitors. With the recent introduction of the Asus made Nexus 7 Tab with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, the existing Asus tablet owners also hope to see the update on their tablets soon.
The Mobile Indian reported about Asus Germany’s promise to roll out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Eee Pad Transformer TF101 and Eee Pad Slide SL101 tablets initially. Now the company has sent out an email that confirms the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Transformer Prime TF201, Transformer TF300 and Transformer TF700 tablets as well.
Asus offers Transformer Prime TF201 is being sold in India for Rs 46,000 approximately. This tablet features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update and houses a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile Processor inside it. Featuring a 10-inch capacitive touchscreen display (1280×800) and 1 GB DDR2 RAM, this tablet also features an 8 megapixel camera capable of HD video recording and also front facing camera for video chat. ASUS is yet to launch the TF300 and TF700 in India.
