Asus has added a new member to its notebook series with the launch of R558UQ laptop in India. The notebook is available in two variants, namely Core i7 Model and Core i5 Model, and comes with a price tag of Rs 59,990 and Rs 48,990 respectively. The laptop will be available across all leading online and offline retail outlets from January 09, 2017. The R558UQ i7 model is available in Glossy Dark Brown IMR and the i5 model is available in Matt Golden, Glossy Dark Brown, Red and Dark Blue hues colour variants.
Both the models sport a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a brightness of 200nits. The notebooks come with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX (N16S-GTR) graphics card and USB Type C connectivity port. The Core i7 model boasts a DDR4 8GB RAM and is equipped with an Intel Core i7-7500U Processor clocked at 2.7GHz, while the Core i5 model sports a DDR4 4GB of RAM and is powered by Intel Core i5-7200U processor clocked at 2.5GHz. The models come with a dedicated upgradable memory door on the bottom side.
Both the R558UQ i7 and i5 models come with SATA 1TB 5400RPM 2.5′ HDD storage, VGA web camera (Fixed type), a Chiclet keyboard. On the connectivity front, the device support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, one USB 2.0, one USB 3.0, one USB Type C, one VGA port, and one HDMI port.
