Apple iPhone 8 is expected to be released on 12 September along with iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. A new Apple Watch and a 4K Apple TV is also expected to be unveiled at theevent
According to a report by Wall Street Journal, citing some sources who have been briefed about the launch, the smartphone will go on sale around 10 days after it is launched. For those who are not aware, iPhone 8 will be an anniversary edition as Apple is celebrating its 10 anniversary in the mobile industry.
Multiple reports suggest that iPhone 8 is expected to be available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options and it might come with 3GB of RAM along with wireless charging, bezel less OLED display and Apple’s A11 chip.
The glass back and the OLED display is to be expected to make the device expensive and it reported to cost around $999 (approx. Rs 63,938) for 64GB, while the 256GB and 512GB variants are rumoured to be priced at $1,099 and $1,199. There are many reports that suggest iPhone 8 will come with dual cameras at the back and it will be aligned vertically.
Apple iPhone 8 won’t have a home button due to the bezel-less display, and Touch ID could be moved to back panel. The company is also reported to add a 3D Face recognition to unlock the iPhone.
Along with the three new iPhone models, Apple is expected to announce a new 4K Apple TV with HDR support. The Cupertino-based tech giant is planning to add a faster processor that will the set-top box to streaming 4K content. The report further highlights that the company will be updating its TV app as well and it might aggregate programming from apps that offer live streaming. Lastly, we might see also see Apple Watch 3 series, which could come with cellular connectivity.
