Samsung is now reportedly rolling out the Galaxy C7 Pro Oreo update in India. The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro was launched last year in India with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Earlier this year, the phone received Android Nougat update.
As per a report of Sammobile, the update brings the latest November 2018 Android security patch to the handset and it comes with build number C701FDDU1CRK1. The last update the Galaxy C7 Pro received was five months back when it was updated to the April 2018 security patch. The new update will bring Android Oreo goodies like picture-in-picture mode, notifications dot feature, Autofill API and more.
The update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update. For the update, your phone should be at least 50% charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro offers a 5.7-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 Processor and Adreno 506 GPU.
The device also features a fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the physical home button in the front. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 256GB expandable memory slot, Android Oreo operating system and a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. Moreover, the Galaxy C7 Pro has Samsung’s Always-On display and supports Samsung Pay.
