Android Nougat update rolled out for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in India

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was launched back in September 2015 in India.

Samsung has finally rolled out the latest Nougat 7.0 update for its Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (model number SM-G920G) smartphone in India. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 was launched back in September 2015 in India with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The Nougat update comes with the newer version N920GDDU3CQC7. The smartphone was recently also spotted on GFXBench benchmarking website with the Android Nougat 7.0 operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Nougat

Recently Samsung has rolled out the Nougat update in Turkey with model number SM-N920C. Samsung is rolling out firmware version N920CXXU3CQC7 in the country. Later, the update was also rolled out to countries like United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Libya, Iraq, Israel, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.

Android Nougat brings in a bunch of new features other features including split-screen multitasking, more customisable quick settings, improved Google keyboard, enhanced notifications and recent applications window. Further, the latest Android OS version also brings in ‘Double Tap’ on the Recent button to switch between the two most recent apps which comes in very handy at times. For extended battery life, Android Nougat comes with ‘Doze on the go’ which will get activated even if your Nougat running device is in your pocket.

The company advises you to update when the battery in your phone is at least 50% charged and you are connected to a network. Users must have 2GB of free space to download and install the update as the update weighs 1030MB. Since the update is being rolled out over-the-air, it may take some time before it comes to your device. One can also manually check for the update by going to Settings ->About Phone -> Software Update.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.7-inch display withQuad resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and 5 finger gesture support. It is powered by Samsung Exynos 7 2.1 GHz octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM. Besides, it has Mali-T760 MP6 and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Android Samsung Edition. Besides, the device has a 16-megapixel camera and a LED flash on its rear panel while a 5-megapixel camera is in its front. The device has fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor as well. For connectivity, the Note 5 offers 4G, NFC, WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac), 4.2 LE, micro USB 2.0 port, and GPS with and Beidou.
