Amazon partners with Onida to launch Fire TV Edition Smart TVs in India

The company has introduced two models, 32-inch HD for Rs 12,999 and 43-inch Full HD for Rs 21,999. The Smart TVs will be available for purchase from Amazon starting December 20, 2019.

Amazon has today launched its much-awaited Fire TV Edition of Smart TVs in India in partnership with Onida. The company has introduced two models, 32-inch for Rs 12,999 and 43-inch Full HD for Rs 21,999. The Smart TVs will be available for purchase from Amazon starting December 20, 2019.

The latest Onida Fire TV Edition comes loaded with a host of interesting features. To start with, the Smart TVs comes with Fire TV built-in, meaning that users can watch their favourite movies and TV shows Prime Video, Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, Sony Liv, Zee5, Sun Nxt and more.

The Smart TVs are available in two options, 32-inch HD model and 43-inch Full HD model with a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and supports up to 300 nits brightness. It also features Dolby Digital Plus and DTS TruSurround sound for the immersive sound experience. The Onida Fire TV Edition comes with Alexa voice remote through which one can ask Amazon Alexa to perform various tasks and content. One can also search for favourite movies and TV shows, play music, switch inputs between on-demand and live TV, control smart home devices, access thousands of Alexa Skills, and more.

Onida Fire TV Edition Smart TVs are powered by a quad-core processor. The Onida Fire TV Edition comes with built-in WiFi, 3 HDMI ports, 1 port and 1 earphone port to enable customers to seamlessly connect DTH or cable set top boxes, gaming consoles, sound bars, and home theatre systems.
