Amazon Echo Dot that was originally for Rs 4,499 is now available at a discounted price of Rs 3149.
Amazon recently launched its lineup of smart speakers including Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus. The company has also introduced a launch offer, where it is offering the smart speakers at a discount of 30 percent.
Starting with Echo Dot, the speaker that was originally for Rs 4,499 is now available at a discounted price of Rs 3149. Amazon Echo gets a discount of Rs 3,000 and it is available at Rs 6,999 from its original price of Rs 9,999. Coming to Echo Plus, users can now buy the smart speaker for a price tag of Rs 10,499 against its original price of Rs 14,999.
Under this Offer, customers may request for an invite/invite code ("Invite") from October 4, 2017, to purchase the products by visiting the product details page and clicking "Request an Invitation". Further, users opting for the smart speakers will get 1 year of Amazon Prime membership and one can also avail No Cost EMI options on all the smart speakers.
Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot are available by invitation to customers and it will start shipping in the country later this month. Further, customers can request an invitation to purchase the speakers from Amazon India website. The speakers will also be available at Croma, Reliance Digital stores and other offline retailers following the invite-only period.
Recollecting some key feature of all the smart speakers, Echo sports a cylindrical shape and comes equipped with a 2.5-inch downward-firing woofer. The Bluetooth speaker comes with Dolby Digital and there is a new microphone technology that allows voice commands to be picked from a distance quite accurately. The speaker comes loaded with Alexa and it can be used to trigger multiple actions.
Coming to Echo Plus, the smart speaker also doubles as a smart hub, which makes it easier to connect to compatible smart home devices. The speaker comes with a 360-degree omnidirectional audio with Dolby processing that the company claims can provide deep bass and crisp high notes.

Lastly, coming to the Echo Dot speaker, it is a hands-free, voice controlled device that is powered by Alexa and uses the same far-field voice recognition as Echo. Echo Dot has a compact design and comes in either black or white colour options. With the built-in speaker, users can talk with Alexa and listen to music, or Echo Dot can directly connect to speakers through Bluetooth or by using a 3.5mm stereo cable, enabling you to add Alexa to any home entertainment system.
