Recently, we have reported about Xiaomi working on the successor of its last year’s Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone, dubbed as Xiaomi Mi Max 2, now the same device with model name ‘Xiaomi Oxygen’ has been spotted on the GFXBench website, revealing the detailed specifications.
As per listing, Xiaomi Oxygen aka alleged Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will feature a 6.4-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm (Cortex A53 – ARMv8) processor, along with Qualcomm Adreno 506 GPU. It will have a 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be wrapped under MIUI.
On the camera front, the device will have a 12-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video chats. The rear camera is capable of shooting videos at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. Besides, the smartphone offers WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Accelerometer, Barometer, Digital compass, Light sensor, Gyroscope, Pedometer and Proximity sensor.
To recollect, Xiaomi launched Mi Max smartphone in India last year for Rs 14,999. It has a body made of Aluminium and plastic and features 6.44-inch Full HD (1920×1080) IPS display. It is powered by Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 4850 mAh battery. It also features a fingerprint scanner which is located on the rear panel. The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, Micro-USB 2.0 port, AGPS and GLONASS. The handset measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5 mm and weighs 203 grams.
There is also another variant of Mi Max which was launched in India, called Mi Max Prime, priced at 19,999. This variant is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Rest of the specifications are identical to Mi Max standard edition.
