The smartphone said to succeed last year's Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone.
If latest rumours are taken into consideration, Xiaomi is reportedly working on the successor of its last year's Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone. Dubbed as Mi Max 2, the rumour also spills some beans on the expected specification of the smartphone with the official launch touted to be sometime around May 2017.
For the rumoured specs, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will feature the same 6.44-inch display as its predecessor and will come armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor. It will have a huge 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Further as per the leak, the smartphone will be backed by a 5000mAh battery with fast charging support. The handset is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with the latest MIUI on top of it. Apart from this, not much has been leaked as of now, however, we will keep you posted as soon as we get more update on this.
To recollect, Xiaomi launched Mi Max smartphone in India last year for Rs 14,999. It has a body made of Aluminium and plastic and features 6.44-inch Full HD (1920x1080) IPS display. It is powered by Snapdragon 650 hexacore processor. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable via micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 4850 mAh battery. It also features a fingerprint scanner which is located on the rear panel. The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, Micro-USB 2.0 port, AGPS and GLONASS. The handset measures 173.1 x 88.3 x 7.5 mm and weighs 203 grams.
There is also another variant of Mi Max which was launched in India, called Mi Max Prime, priced at 19,999. This variant is powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Rest of the specifications are identical to Mi Max standard edition.
