Gionee launched Gionee S8 alongwith Gionee W909 at an event in China in March this year. Now, Gionee GN9012 has been spotted on the website of Chinese certification agency TENAA revealing its specs. From the specifications, it might be the lite variant of the Gionee S8 and can be launched as Gionee S8 Lite. The device is designed similarly like the Gionee S8 with the only difference being the camera placement at the back of the unit.
As per the listing, Gionee S8 Lite has a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor (possibly the MediaTek Helio P10) and 4GB RAM. It offers 32GB of internal storage, 128 GB expandable storage via a micro SD card, an 8 or 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5 megapixel front facing camera and a 3,130 mAh battery. Gionee S8 Lite comes with fingerprint sensor on the back and has a metal unibody design.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and the images reveal that it’s in a Gold color. Connectivity options of the device include dula sim, 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS and a micro USB 2.0 port. The dimensions of the phone are 153 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm and it weighs 150 grams.
No other details about the S8 Lite is available right now. However we will keep you posted as soon as we get more information on this handset.

The Gionee S8 has a hybrid dual SIM slot in which the second SIM slot can alternatively hold a micro SD card of up to 200 GB capacity. Ofcourse, this dual SIM phone offers 4G connectivity; it is also VoLTE compatible. Besides, the S8 offers WiFi (b/g/n), WiFi Direct, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 A2DP, GPS with AGPS, FM radio, and a micro USB port with USB Host functionality. There is a 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery in the Gionee S8. It measures 154.3 x 74.9 x 7 mm and weighs 147.2 grams. It also has DTS and HiFi audio technologies.
