Bharti Airtel has today announced the launch of its new music streaming application, the Wynk Tube, In India. The application is currently available for download on Google Play Store.
The company claims that the Wynk Tube will provide a simplify digital entertainment experience to hundreds of millions of smartphone users, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and villages. The application is developed by Airtel-s in-house team. The company says that the application is free for one month. Once the free time is over, Airtel users can enjoy unlimited streaming and downloads, while on-Airtel customers need to pay Rs 99 per month.
The Wynk Tube application comes with a collection of 40 lakh songs and related videos. It is basically an one-stop destination for streaming audio and videos without much hurdles. Users can switch between audio and video mode with a single touch. It also users a combination of machine learning algorithm to provide a personalised playlist to the users.
The App also works with entry-level smartphones, including Android Go variants. It is available to users in 12 regional languages including Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Bhojpuri and more besides English and Hindi. The app also features a deep voice enabled search to help users discover their favourite music. The Wynk Tube also pulls all MP3 music files from the smartphone and use it as part of playlists.
Meanwhile, Airtel has launched two new prepaid recharge plans of Rs 48 and Rs 98 for its subscribers. Both the plans are now available to Airtel subscribers in all telecom circles. he Airtel Rs 48 prepaid data plan comes with 3GB of 3G/4G data and a validity of 28 days. The Airtel Rs 98 prepaid data plan also comes with a validity of 28 days and it offers 6GB of 3G/4G data and 10 free national SMS for the whole validity period.
