Bharti Airtel has announced that it offering 4G connectivity at all the Char Dham locations including Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The company also reaffirmed that it is the only private telecom player that now offers 4G/3G/2G connectivity to all the locations, helping its customers to stay in touch with their loved ones in these remote locations.
Airtel says that it has recently restored the network connectivity in Kedarnath as a part of the restoration efforts made following the devastating floods in June 2013. The operator also added that the network team have overcome difficulties like harsh weather and rough terrain to ensure network connectivity at the Char Dhams locations.
“As India’s largest mobile network, we continuously strive to ensure that our customers stay connected wherever they are. Char Dham is a key pilgrimage and Airtel customers visiting these locations will be able to access our services and keep in touch with friends and family,” said, Sanjiv Mishra, COO, Bharti Airtel, UPW.
However, Airtel is not the only operator that has rolled out its 4G services in Kedarnath. Vodafone has also announced its SuperNet 4G in Kedarnath as well. The 4G site has been successfully installed in the vicinity of the temple at a height of about (11,755 ft), enabling customers to experience seamless VODAFONE SuperNet 4G in and around the temple premises.
Vodafone customers visiting the shrine can now share their spiritual experience live, with friends and family across India and overseas through voice and video calls, sharing photographs and videos on SuperNet 4G.
