Acer, has launched Acer Iconia Smart S300, which is an Android 2.3 based smart phone featuring a large 4.8 inch capacitive multi touch screen, 8 megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flashlight, and 2 MP front facing camera.
Other features include Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, TV, micro – SD slot, HDMI port and motion sensing along with 8 GB internal memory.
The phone comes with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The phone looks stylish in its metal casing engraved with subtle wavy patterns.
S. Rajendran, chief marketing officer, Acer India said, “Today, consumers are extremely technology savvy and depend heavily on that one gadget which more often than not is usually their smartphone. Acer’s Iconia Smart is the perfect accessory for both technology enthusiasts and fashion conscious consumers.”
Acer’s Clear.fi media sharing system is also included which allows one to easily access, play and share multimedia across the home network and to instantly publish updates to social media networks.
The phone is available for a price of Rs 28,990, which puts it directly in competition of Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Samsung Galaxy R, HTC Sensation and LG Optimus 2X.
